Note: If multiple options, research mission, staff, location, and main services for each to compare in terms of overlap with your needs/interests
Questions to ask a representative:
- What is the organization doing for projects and activities right now?
- Has the organization ever worked with learner volunteers? If so, in what ways? What were the outcomes?
- Does the organization have time commitment, activity/task, or other needs that can be reconciled with your academic or professional development needs/interests?
- Can someone on site provide an orientation, instruction, or direction and define student expectations?
