  • Get rid of back pain
  • Break a cycle of getting sick or injured
  • Prevent or eliminate stress
  • Improve immune system function/get sick less
  • Feel good about self/build self-esteem
  • Learn about perceived and “actual” physical (and mental) limitations
  • Be able to pick up heavy things (toddlers, weights, loads of wood, etc.)
  • Move faster than ever (or than before) – on foot, on a bike, in water, etc.
  • Enjoy nature
  • Enliven physically intimate activities
  • Enjoy more amounts or kinds of foods while staying in energy balance
